Soru, rica ve emir aktarma kalıpları
B1’de birinin düz cümlesini (She said she was tired) aktarmayı öğrenmiştik. Peki biri bize bir soru sorduysa («Hazır mısın?», «Nerede yaşıyorsun?») ya da bir emir / rica söylediyse («Bekle!», «Geç kalma!») bunu sonradan nasıl aktarırız?

Dolaylı soru aktarımı: asked + if / whether ya da soru kelimesi + düz sıra
Geçmişte sorulan bir soruyu asked ile aktarırken iki kural aynı anda çalışır: 1) Soru devrikliği kalkar; özne fiilin önüne geçer (düz cümle sırası), do / does / did düşer ve cümle soru işaretiyle değil noktayla biter. 2) B1’deki zaman kaydırma aynen uygulanır (are → were, live → lived, will → would, V2 → had + V3).
Sorunun içinde where, when, what, why, how gibi bir soru kelimesi varsa o kelime bağlaç olur (He asked where I lived). Soru kelimesi yoksa (evet/hayır sorusuysa) araya mutlaka if ya da whether («-ıp -madığını») girer.
KısayolAktarılan soruda yardımcı fiil özneden önce gelmez (where was I değil, where I was).

Emir ve rica aktarımı: told / asked + kişi + (not) to + V1
Birinin söylediği emir, talimat veya ricayı («Burada bekle!», «Lütfen kapıyı aç», «Geç kalma!») aktarırken zaman kaydırma yapılmaz; onun yerine told / asked + kişi + to + yalın fiil (V1) kullanılır: She told me to wait.
Olumsuz emir veya ricada («Don’t be late!») don’t tamamen atılır ve to’nun hemen önüne not konur: told / asked + kişi + not to + V1 (He asked me not to be late). Nüans: told + kişi + to bir emir veya talimatı, asked + kişi + to ise kibar bir ricayı aktarır.
Kısayolasked arkasından if / soru kelimesi + cümle gelirse soru sordu; kişi + to + V1 gelirse rica etti demektir.
«Could you open the window, please?» — What did she say? — She <b>asked me to open</b> the window.
«Don’t touch the hot pot!» — What did he tell you? — He <b>told me not to touch</b> the hot pot.
I told the cat to come into the living room.

- Dolaylı soru aktarımı: asked + if / whether ya da soru kelimesi + düz sıra
En sık hata: She asked me where was I veya He asked what time did the film start demek! Aktarılan cümle artık bir soru değildir; soru kelimesinden sonra her zaman özne + fiil gelir: where I was · what time the film had started.
- Dolaylı soru aktarımı: asked + if / whether ya da soru kelimesi + düz sıra
İkinci sık hata: evet/hayır sorusunda She asked me that I was hungry demek! asked ile soru aktarırken that bağlacı ASLA kullanılmaz; if veya whether seçilir.
- Emir ve rica aktarımı: told / asked + kişi + (not) to + V1
En sık hata: He told me don’t be late veya She told me that I wait demek! Emir ve ricalar dolaylı anlatıma geçerken don’t ya da that almaz; her zaman to + V1 veya not to + V1 kullanılır.
- Emir ve rica aktarımı: told / asked + kişi + (not) to + V1
not kelimesinin yerine dikkat et: to not be late yerine standart ve doğal sıra her zaman not to be late biçimindedir.
