En sık düzensiz fiiller (yalın → geçmiş)
İngilizcede günlük hayatta en çok kullandığımız fiillerin bir kısmı geçmiş zamanda -ed almaz; kelimenin kendisi değişir (go → went, eat → ate).
Satıra dokun; hem yalın hem geçmiş okunuşunu dinle.

Hareket ve temel eylemler: went · ate · drank · slept · saw
Bu fiiller kural tanımaz ama büyük bir kolaylığı vardır: özne I, he, she, it, we, they kim olursa olsun geçmiş biçim hep tek kelimedir ve hiç değişmez.

Kedi dün balık yedi.

Kaptaki bütün sütü içti.

run → ranIt ran fast in the park.

En sık hata: düzenli fiil kuralını bunlara da uygulayıp goed, eated, drinked, sleeped, seed demek. İngilizcede bu kelimeler yoktur; doğrusu went, ate, drank, slept, saw biçimleridir.
eat (yemek) fiilinin geçmiş hali olan ate, tıpkı 8 sayısı (eight) gibi «eyt» diye okunur.

Özne he/she/it olsa bile sonuna -s veya -ed gelmez.

Günlük hayatın 7 kilit fiili: had · got · made · took · bought · gave · found
Şimdiki zamanda iki biçimi olan have / has fiili geçmişte tek bir kelimeye dönüşür: had (had breakfast, had a car).
Almak, yapmak, vermek ve bulmak fiilleri de her gün karşına çıkar:
Kahvaltı yaptı, erken kalktı, topu verdi
get → gotThe cat got up early this morning.
Kedi bu sabah erken kalktı.
give → gaveShe gave the red ball to the cat.
Kırmızı topu kediye verdi.
We had breakfast at eight o’clock.
Saat sekizde kahvaltı yaptık.
My father made coffee in the kitchen.

I bought fresh bread from the bakery.

En sık hata: buyed, maked, taked, haved demek. Doğrusu her zaman bought, made, took, had biçimleridir.
bought kelimesindeki gh harfleri hiç okunmaz; kelime kısaca «bot» gibi seslendirilir.

buy → bought («bot» okunur) ve make → made dönüşümlerine dikkat et.
